Hello here4u, I've made some corrections in blue,

I) Running ... Waiting
Day after day, it's always the same ... Life, in any case my life, seems alternately to be made with running and waiting ...
Awaken early morning, (none merit: I do not much sleep,)
I arrive very early to enable myself to do, without hustling,essential steps before my appointment whatever it is ...
Then, I wait ? I wait, I still wait, for a long time, starting to worry, because if that continues, never, will I be on time to my next appointment, within an hour, and I anguish...
Finally, the door is opened, large smiles, I express my concerns and I go again, running, some minutes later, I run, run ... and wait!
I suppose that we all have experienced such anecdotes dailybut it seems to me that the anxieties, and the measures taken to make them bearable are not at at all the same depending on people and it is difficult for me to find the solution, if you have it, don't forget me!
Afterwards, from time to time, oh miracle, I arrive out of breath at the appointment.
Suddenly, surprised and dripping with sweat because of my hurrying.I hear my name being called
Be on time. Early, even? What an amazement!
The previous three appointments had simply ... not come

II. Translate into French
Finalement, vers la fin de l'après-midi, quand les pieds me faisaient mal,l'épaule endolorie par le poids du sac et l'estomac vide gargouillait de faim, ma chance changea. Je regardais en bas dans une rue latérale et vis, à mon grand plaisir, une personne sur une échelle, un pinceau dans la main. Comme je m'approchais, je vis qu'il était de courte taille., avec des cheveux noirs et bronzé: l'idée typique d'un italien par un type anglais.
De surcroît, il était en train de peindre la face d'un magasin. Je l'ai appelé.
"Scusi, signore. Excusez-moi', dis-je dans mon meilleur italien. Etes-vous M. Mangiarotti?'

Here is my work:
Ready for the correction

I) Day after day, it's always the same ... Life, in any case MY life seems to be alternatively made up of run and wait.
Awaken very early (no credit, I don't need to sleep a lot) I arrive very early to do ,without pushing,essential procedures before my "rendez-vous", whatever it is.
Then I wait... I wait, I wait again and again, for a long time, beginning to worry because if ever that continues, I'll never be on time for my next appointment in an hour and I "anguish".
At last, the door opens, beamy smiles, I share my worries, and I leave again, running a few minutes later. I run, I run... and I'll wait!
I guess we all lived, daily, such anecdotes... but it seems to me that worries and measures taken to make them bearable depend on individuals, and finding the solution is difficult for me... If you have it don't forget me!
And then, sometimes, I arrive breathless for an appointment. Suddenly, surprised and sweaty of hurrying too much, I hear my name being called. To pass on time? Even in advance? What an enchantment!
The three previous appointment simply... didn't come

II) Finalement, vers la fin de l'après-midi, quand mon pied était douloureux, que mes épaules souffraient du poids de mon sac et que mon estomac vide criait famine, ma chance tourna. Je regardais une petite rue quand je vis, avec bonheur, un homme en haut d'une échelle, pinceau à la main. En approchant, je remarquais qu'il était petit, brun et bronzé: Le cliché anglais typique de l'Italien typique! D'ailleurs, il était en train de peindre la devanture d'un magasin. Je l'interpellai.
"Scusi, signore. Excusez-moi", dis-je avec mon meilleur italien. "Êtes vous Mr Mangiarotti?

Hello !
Here it is, at last... this long-awaited correction... It's been ready for long but Ariane proved me right to have waited till the deadline! and I must admit it helped me as I was swamped with work and mid-term meetings (to frighten the Secondes who needed an "electroshock" to start real work in November ...)

I) Translate into English:
Courir ... Attendre...
Running… Waiting…

- Pour moi, c’est vraiment ‘le fait de courir et celui d’attendre’… Il fallait donc bien des gérondifs, qui étaient nécessaires.
- Certains ont préféré ‘Run … Wait’, ‘plus incisifs’ … mais pas moi ! Je les trouve trop ressemblants à des impératifs et donc ambigus, et ils trahissaient ce que je voulais dire ! Na !
- Pas ‘to run … to wait’ qui signifie ‘pour courir et pour attendre’. Pas du tout le sens.

Jour après jour, c'est toujours la même chose ... La vie, en tout cas MA vie, ne semble être faite alternativement que de course et d'attente ...

Day after day, it’s always the same (thing). Life, at least my life seems to be a mere succession of running and waiting…

- it’s always alike/the same routine/the daily grind/ the regular grind
- In any case/at least/ in all events/anyway/ as things go/
- alternately/in turns/ mais surtout pas ‘alternatively’ = otherwise = sinon. J’ai préféré la simplicité soignée

Levée très tôt, (aucun mérite : je n'ai pas " besoin" de beaucoup de sommeil,) j'arrive très en avance pour pouvoir faire, sans trop de bousculade, les démarches indispensables avant mon 'rendez-vous' quel qu'il soit ...

Up at dawn, (I have no merit : I don’t “need” much sleep,) I always arrive very early so as to be able to complete, without hurrying too much, the necessary formalities before my appointment, whatever it is…

- Got up= non/ Get up = impératif = non/woken up = reveillée…mais pas levée= non // OUI = Up /out of bed
- pour éviter la répétition maladroite de (very) ‘early’, j’ai forcé un peu (à peine) avec ‘dawn’ = ‘l’aube’ ;
- No credit for that/ no merit/ mais ‘deserve’ est un verbe, et pas un nom.
- être en avance = “to be early” contraire de “to be late”/ a long time ahead/in advance
- so as to/ in order to/
- Steps/ approach/ oui ; approaches au pluriel me gêne un peu /formalities/

Puis, j'attends ... J'attends, j'attends encore, longtemps, en commençant à m'inquiéter parce que jamais, si cela continue, je ne serai à l'heure à mon rendez-vous suivant, à une heure de là, et j'angoisse ...

Then I start waiting… waiting, waiting again, for long, starting to worry because, if it goes on like this, I’ll never be on time for my following appointment, an hour away from there, and I start being distressed…

- To wait FOR a long time/ wait for long/ … waiting … waiting …
La forme en ing et les répétitions insistaient sur la durée qui me semblait infinie …
- Ceux d’entre vous qui ont choisi d’insister sur NEVER en commençant la proposition par cet adverbe DEVAIENT alors absolument faire l’inversion du sujet, ce qui, en toute logique grammaticale devait vous entraîner vers ‘never shall I be on time …’. Ceci ne correspondait pas du tout au style que j’avais choisi d’adopter dans ce passage.
Sure enough= OK
- ‘Following’ était ici préférable à ‘next’ puisque je rapporte une anecdote récurrente et que je m’éloigne donc du présent.
- Beaucoup ont fait un contre sens sur ‘à une heure de là’, qui ne voulait pas dire que le rendez-vous durait une heure, mais que la distance entre les deux lieux était telle qu’il fallait une heure de déplacement entre les deux endroits.

Finalement, la porte s'ouvre, grands sourires, je fais part de mes inquiétudes, et je repars, en courant, quelques minutes plus tard. Je cours, je cours ... et j’attendrai !

- Les sourires échangés ne sont pas des ‘smiles’, mais des ‘grins’… moins de politesse que de tension …(vraiment pas envie de sourire dans ces moments là … )
- ‘I voice my worry/concern’ = Je me dois de l’exprimer et ‘quelque part’, cela revient à demander rapidité et efficacité …
-Encore une fois, ne pas oublier la fonction du passif qui est de bien montrer que l’action est subie … La liberté est supprimée et le sujet devient objet subissant !

Je suppose que nous avons tous expérimenté, au quotidien, de telles déboires ... mais il me semble que les inquiétudes, et les mesures prises pour les rendre supportables ne sont pas du tout les mêmes en fonction des individus, et il m’est bien difficile de trouver ‘la solution’ ... Si vous l’avez, ne m’oubliez pas !

I suppose we have all gone through such setbacks, in our daily life… but I do think that the worries and attempted solutions to make them bearable are not all similar depending on/(according to) the people, and I have quite a lot of problems to find ‘the’ solution… if you have found it, please, don’t forget me…

- déboires : ici j’ai trouvé que « setbacks » qui sous entend aussi le retard, convenait bien… /bad luck/hard luck
- supporter = to bear => bearable => unbearable (ne pas oublier la dérivation, qui par l’ajout de préfixes et suffixes, vous permet d’utiliser de nouveaux mots).
- ‘don’t let me down !’

Et puis, de temps en temps, ô miracle, j'arrive hors d'haleine à un rendez-vous. Soudain, surprise et en nage de m'être trop hâtée, j'entends appeler mon nom ...
Passer à l'heure? En avance, même ? Quel émerveillement !

- ‘for hurrying too much’ : for + V + ing = la conséquence = parce que j’ai trop couru …
- I hear my name (being) called. Le passif était vraiment nécessaire ici. Ici, ‘il était en train d’être appelé’ = présent en ing.
- ‘passer à l’heure’ ne signifiait pas que j’arrivais à l’heure (c’est toujours le cas !), mais que je passais à l’heure (j’entrais dans le bureau…) … de façon très exceptionnelle …
-'amazement' est abstrait = pas d'article; 'wonder' est dénombrable et concret => "what a wonder!"

Les trois rendez-vous précédents n'étaient tout simplement … pas venus !

The three people before me had simply not shown up for their appointments!

- The three preceding people/ previous people. Mais : ATTENTION! The three previous people I had an appointment with simply....= CS car les 3 personnes précédentes (qui avaient un RV avec la même personne que moi, avant moi,) ne sont pas venues !

Alors que j’approchai(2), je vis(2) que l’homme était petit, brun, et bronzé : l'idée typique que se fait un anglais d'un italien typique(3) … De plus, il peignait la devanture(4) d’un magasin. Je l’appelai.

(1) ‘J'ai mal aux pieds’ et non ‘mes pieds me font mal’... ‘maman, j’ai mal à mon ventre’ ! = incorrect en français. En anglais il faut mettre des possessifs devant les parties du corps (et des pluriels s’il y a plusieurs personnes (‘Gentlemen came in with hats on their heads and pipes in their mouths.’) Il fallait laisser les anglicismes à l’anglais et dire: le poids de mon sac me faisait mal à l'épaule, j'avais l'estomac qui criait famine.../qui ‘gargouillait’ …
(2 ) Attention au temps. Je raconte un événement précis et non pas quelque chose qui serait une habitude. (passé simple et non imparfait !)
(3) « l’idée qu’un Anglais typique se fait d’un Italien typique » TB
(4) ‘le devant d’un magasin’ = la devanture !
