Mahatma Gandhi/essai

Merci beaucoup.

I will speak about Mahatma Gandhi who is the most famous character of the India’s history
Mahatma Gandhi is born in Porbandar, in India, in eighteen sixty-nine. His father, Karamchand Gandhi, is a member of the court of Rajasthan. His mother, Poutlibai is the fourth and last wife of his father; she has four children, Gandhi being the youngest of them.
His family is relatively wealthy. They are Hindu, but they are very tolerant of other religions.
Gandhi get married at fourteen years old, with Kasturbai, who will remain his wife all his life.
In eighteen eighty-eight, he went to England to study law. After three years in England, and his law degree in hand, Gandhi returned to India. Then he went to South Africa for trial, it was the revelation of his life. He is confronted with racial discrimination. Thereafter, he fought all his life without violence for racial equality, and peace in the world
He was jailed several times by the British, as he struggled for the independence of India. Through his efforts, in nineteen forty-seven, India and Pakistan became independent, but he was not for the partition of India into two countries.
In nineteen forty-height, he is killed by Nathuram Godse who held Gandhi responsible for the partition of India and its weakening
This was a man who fought all his life for peace and truth, respect for all religions, and the equality of men. Thanks to him, India is free today.

Hello.
Please read your text again, paying attention to the verbs. You have several present tense verbs for events that took place in the past. There are only a few other small problems once you fix the verbs.

Hello.
This is a good correction; you have found most of the problems.
I will speak about Mahatma Gandhi who is the most famous character of/in the India’s history.
Mahatma Gandhi was born in Porbandar, in India, in eighteen sixty-nine. His father, Karamchand Gandhi, was a member of the court of Rajasthan. His mother, Poutlibai was the fourth and last wife of his father; she had four children, Gandhi being the youngest of them.
His family was relatively wealthy. They were Hindu, but they were very tolerant of other religions.
Gandhi got married at fourteen years old, with (different preposition) Kasturbai, who will (the past form) remain his wife all his life.
In eighteen eighty-eight, he went to England to study law. After three years in England, (and) his law degree in hand, Gandhi returned to India. Then he went to South Africa for __ trial; it was the revelation of his life. He is confronted with racial discrimination. Thereafter, he fought ____ all his life without violence for racial equality, and peace in the world (You could improve this sentence...it seems best to say he fought for something).
He was jailed several times by the British, as he struggled for the independence of India. Through his efforts, in nineteen forty-seven, India and Pakistan became independent, but he was not for the partition of India into two countries.
In nineteen forty-height, he is killed by Nathuram Godse, who held Gandhi responsible for the partition of India and its weakening/partition and weakening of India.
This was a man who fought all his life for peace and truth, respect for all religions, and (the) equality of men. Thanks to him, India is free today.
Sherry
