Message from kolokolchik posted on 20-08-2012 at 16:52:34
Hello,
I wonder if one could say,"Allow me in" in the sense of "allow me to come, to get in".
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
"Let me in" is the normal way to say this.
"Allow me in" or "Allow me to get in" would sound a little formal..

"In" is an adverb in "Let me in", or it is the particle of the phrasal verb "let in"?
