I wanna ask a question about the expression "lui prendre la main"
I wanna know the difference between "lui prendre la main" et "prendre la main"
whythere is is there the word "lui" in the first example?? what difference does it make from the second one?

"lui" before the verb is a personal object pronoun = to him/to her

In French, the expression is "Prendre la main de quelqu'un".
So, in the sentence, you have to explain to whom belongs this hand.
You can say "Je prends la main de ma copine" or "Je lui prends la main" if it's clear in the context that "lui" = "ma copine".
