Hello,
Could you help me please with the correct answer?
Is it
"Pretty hot" / "Pretty miserable"
or
"Pretty hotty" / "Pretty miserably"
My native teacher told us the first one, but I would use the second answer with the adverbs.
Thank you
Kai

Hello
The following questions ask for an adjective :
How is he ? He is fine.
What is he like ? He is tall, thin and handsome.
What is the weather like ? The weather is hot, pretty cold, rainy (noun + y = adjective), cloudy, misty, stormy, snowy...
An adverb will modify a verb of action, not a state verb like to be.
How was he after the accident ? He was shocked and angry.
How did he react ? He reacted angrily, hotly (adjective + ly = adverb).
