Bonjour,
Je dois laver la voiture de mes parents.
Peut-on écrire à la fois "must" et "have to"?
I must wash my father is car.
I have to wash my father is car.
Si oui quelle est la petite différence de traduction.

Nous utilisons souvent 'have to' pour dire que quelque chose est obligatoire.
Nous utilisons 'must' pour dire que quelque chose est essentiel ou nécessaire.
I have to wash my father's car. Une obligation.
I must wash my father's car. Une nécessité.

Must implique une obligation qu'on prend à titre personnel, qu'on accepte, qu'on décide soi-même.
I must tidy up my room.
I must watch this good film.
Have to implique une obligation extérieure, on vous force à le faire.
I can't come and play, I have to tidy up my room.

Hello. "Must" is rarely used nowadays for everyday essential activities. "Have (got) to" (or "need to") is more common for those.
- I have to get groceries before the store closes.
- Before I can work out I have to get motivated.
- I'll be back; I have to find help.
- You gotta go along to get along. (gotta = (have) got to)
"Must" is used mostly to express the idea that there is (almost certainly) no alternative.
- She is wearing a crown, so she must be the queen.
- x is neither greater than 3 nor less than three, so x must be equal to 3.
- Where are my clothes? I must have left them in the suitcase.
Sometimes "must" can be used to express an obligation that simply cannot (or at least, certainly should not) be ignored.
- Cars in the right lane must turn right at the next intersection. (Or on a sign: RIGHT LANE MUST TURN RIGHT)
- To enter the stadium, every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
- We must never forget the tragedy that happened here, nor the heroes who saved many lives.

On apprenait même à l'époque :
I must tidy my room : obligation personnelle.
I have to tidy my room : obligation imposée par l'extérieur.
I'm sorry but I can't come tonight : I've got to tidy up my room . Obligation extérieure inattendue.
